StillSpeaking Theatre presents TWILIGHT MESSIAH, a semi-staged reading of a thrilling new historical play about the human spirit by Ross Levine.
Co-directed by Joy Wrolson and Keith David Dillon, Twilight Messiah recreates the true story of Adam Chernyakov, president of the Jewish Council in Warsaw, Poland during the Nazi occupation, and his life and death struggle with the Gestapo to save his people - more than a half-million Jews locked inside the walls of the Warsaw Ghetto. Hailed as a hero and despised as a collaborator, he’s a modern day Greek tragic hero who, in his desperate search for the truth, must come to terms with himself once he finds it.
This is a 'pay-as-you-can' performance at the door. No presold tickets.
